Brighouse Circuit Racing

Spectators can look forward to an evening of entertainment and high drama as some of the country’s top cyclists compete around the streets of Brighouse.

Racing starts at 19.00 with the Senior Race for 3/4/W/J category riders. These are club riders getting the opportunity to ride in front of a large crowd. At 19.50 the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 Juveniles race. It’s a great experience racing in front of a large crowd, on closed roads. We recognise the importance of encouraging young athletes into the world of cycling. The exciting climax is at 20.20 featuring the country’s top Elite riders.

The circuit starts along King Street and turns right down Lawson Road, before entering Bethel Street. It continues towards Thornton Square and up Briggate before turning right back into Commercial Street and along to the junction with Bradford Road / King Street.

The roads around the circuit will be closed by barriers between 18.20 and 22.00 along the busiest parts of the circuit to protect both the riders and the public.

The presentation ceremony for all races will take place at the podium near the finish line at 21.30 approximately. Please stay around to give the riders your appreciation as the winners pop the Champagne!
